We witnessed the Civil War this afternoon. Or rather, Gennesee museum's reenactment.I didn't have the best view of the battle but the kids were able to squeeze up to the front and Courtney took lots of pictures for me.

Abraham Lincoln asked Jacob if he was going to join the Army. He sheepishly shook his head no.
"How old are you?"
"Six."
"Well, in two years, you can join the Navy."
"Oh, I'm already in the avy."
One man was telling a crowd about how they traded the Indians for fire water.
"Do you know what fire water is, little boy?"
"Yeah, it's the Red Sea."

Don't feel bad about the circus. It wasn't that bad. It would have been better if I had never been to a three ring circus, so I'd have nothing to compare it too like the girls. Plus, maybe, seeing a grown man making a career out of blowing ping pong balls out of his mouth just isn't my thing, you know? I'm glad you told us about it, it was fun, especially for Kathryn.
