I burned their names on their cubby. And Grace was very excited about it. "Are you writing my name? Oh, I love it! Are you writing, G-R-A-B-C?"
After New Years, the tree comes down, the toys get put away, the cupboards get cleaned out, and projects get done. We spent an entire day color coding the Legos.
And good timing. Papa and Aunt Kathy came over with the boy's Christmas present. (It was back ordered and didn't get here until after Christmas. Which worked out great. They were so excited to get a a bonus present) They have played and played and played with this set.Joshua's room got some attention this week, too. The toy box was cleaned out, the books reorganized and we took down the crib and brought in Jacob's toddler bed. He (and Grace) enjoyed jumping off it more than sleeping in it. He is asleep before he goes to bed, so this is not much of an adjustment for him.
good thing the kitty in her hand is only a toy

Love that idea of the "lockers." I've been thinking of doing something similar (saw it i a magazine once), but you had the motivation to do it!!!!
I love the cubbies!! I think I may have to try something like in our entryway. We have a bench with tin washbuckets that have all of our shoes in it. Talk about a mess. We have a lot of shoes so I would still have to use baskets but I can invision how much neater it would be. I love to organize, not that things stay that way but it always makes me feel good when it's done.
And that is a lot of Lego's and books. I'm actually having a hard time organizing all of our books right now. It told my mom that I might have to send some out to her house. She's my babysitter but I'm sure I will have a hard time deciding which ones to send.
And lastly, I love your header. I have been so lazy lately that I haven't done a nice photo header. Yours looks really nice.
LOVE LOVE LOVE your closet system!!! I have also been in an organizational mood. I'll share what we've been working on in my blog soon. You did great on the names... so cool!
I do love your cubbies! What a great idea. I am in the process of educating myself on how to handle the piles of paperwork. lol!
