But don't be too jealous of my my little housekeeper. When she yells out "Joooey's wooom!" and I say, "No, sweetie, those are Joshua's blankets", do you think she pays any attention to me? Oh, no, they go in Joey's drawer. We are either finding all kinds of laundry in odd places or she has taken the entire load, small pile at a time, and dumped it all at the top of the stairs.
Oh, so helpful, she is.

More help wanted. This time for real. I have been battling a rash on Grace's face for a year and a half. Five pediatricians and a dermatologist say it's allergies and eczema. I've tried nystatin, bactraban, Vaseline, antibiotics, cortisone...
Then this summer, Joshua got a cut on his nose and shortly after, the rash appeared on his face, too. The doctor, of course, says he has allergies, too.
Maybe it's just a shot in the dark, but does anybody have ANY insight? I'm at my wits end here.

I have a laundry helper similar to your too. They must have been trained in the same school.
The rash... I'm no help. A weird suggestion that I've read in the newspaper is Vicks vabor rub. Some people with ezcema have supposedly have success with Vicks when perscriptions didn't help. Or maybe try straight up diaper creams like A&D? Poor little guy, it doesn't look comfortable!
Stacy, Joshua's rash looks a LOT like what I was battling with Jack for awhile, esp. after we started solids. At one point it got so bad I took him to the doctor who said the same things, allergies, dry skin, etc. but I knew in my heart it wasn't. He recommended Aquaphor which made it worse. So then I tried Desitin and it cleared it right up!
Awwww, poor boy. Wish I had some helpful advice, but I got nothin'! Try the Desitin (or other cream).... it's worth a shot. Let us know if it works, I'm curious.
My daughter had a similar rash when she about 1. We thought it was just from all the drooling and such. We used cotizone which I know you said you tried already. I tried going back on my blog to see if I could find a picture but I started it after the rash was gone. The desitin sounds like a good suggestion. Best of luck, I hope you find something that works.
I'd say the Desitin also and try to keep his little face dry.
Desitin makes Desitin clear now. We use it for everything from diaper rash to chapped lips and noses and the patch of dry skin that Caleb has on his leg. The older kids much prefer it over the Butt paste - mainly because of the name, I think. ;) - but it's being clear is a big benefit. It's worth a try. Keep their faces very clean and dry and then coat with the Desitin to make a seal. That's what I've been doing with Caleb's leg for the past couple of days and it's improving.
Sounds like your little one was trained in the school my 5 were in. Praise the Lord they are still grabbing their laundry and putting it away even as teens!
Poor little guy. Praying he clears up quickly.

Thank you so much for the advice. I tried some Butt Paste today(it's all we had for diaper rash ointment) but I think clear will be much nicer for when he tries to rub it off on my shirt :)
I'll be picking up some clear Desitin on my next Walmart trip. I'll let you know how it works.
