It's coming

Whether we like it or not.

It makes no difference how many times we were able to sit in the sun,
or how hot it did or did not get.

The air is getting chilly, the heavy blankets have come out, the kids are not as eager to stay outside all day. Fall is on it's way and I have a feeling it's coming early this year.

Yeah, I know, my pictures have nothing to do with fall. Maybe I should have photoshopped some frost on the mushrooms.
What? You don't get excited over fungus? Come, on... I only shared the cool ones. And I even left out the ones that were oozing red jelly. You'd rather see pictures of the kids? Oh, all right. Here ya go...

Do you have a mushroom fetish? I have been wondering what in the world you did with that huge mushroom you took from Ontario Pathways. Did you cook it up for dinner that night or just take some still lifes with it? You're so goofy. That's what I love about you!!!

The girls brought me a handful of really pretty red and yellow leaves yesterday. Fall is here already. It doesn't make me very happy like some people we know. I DON'T like being cold, whaaaaa! I do like the pretty leaves, though.

My Dad and I used to decorate mushrooms with a wood burner and watercolors, looong time ago. That was my plan. But when I went to get it, it all crumbled up in the driveway. Ah, it wasnt big enough anyway.

So what are you saying? It's weird to have a mushroom fetish?

Beautiful pictures. I think this certainly qualifies for the assignment on A Thousand Words... You could link it, huh?

Julia sounds like Chris. Whine, whine, whine about being cold...

When did you change your sidebar? I like it! Is the drawing by you or your dad?

Your photos are amazing, I was really liking the bee on the flower, but I think that the pic of your babe wins! Yep, Autumn is happening.

I like the new side bar - I thought your two guys were twins, your vacation pics of them sleeping in the car really convinced me - my boys are 13 and still do things like that.

No! It is not weird to have a fungus fetish! Mushrooms are so amazing! The other day I was BBQing hamburgers and I glanced down at my feet... and there was a big, beautiful shaggy mane mushroom... I just bent down and picked it and threw it on the BBQ to go with my hamburger. Now that is what I call fresh produce!

Yes, Kimberly, they are twins. Was it confusing how I worded it on the sidebar?
