What, Me dirty?

I sent Grace out with the girls to play, forgetting that it had rained the night before and there was one puddle in the driveway with her name all over it. Within five minutes she had soaked up the whole puddle and her dress was a sopin mess.

Five minutes later, we're at the garden. I have found this year that tomato juice comes out of clothes just fine so I didn't panic.

In the next five minutes, she found Joe's BBQ sauce container from McDonald's while I wasn't looking. I figured, she's already got it all over her, might as well get a few pictures. Not sure if BBQ sauce comes out yet or not.

A Few Random Photos From PA

The picture can't begin to compare to what this sunrise really looked liked. Paige wakes up super early every morning to go for a walk with anyone fortunate enough to be awake at that hour. I only went with her once this year and this is what we saw. Gorgeous!

These are so out of order. Here's what happens to Grace when we try to take a walk during nap time.

Jacob much preferred to be on land waving to the canoe than to be on it.

Courtney and Brenna

Will someone get this kid a sandwich?!

THE BEAR HUNT
The park ranger had informed us on Wednesday that there had been a problem with the bears in the campground this year. This got us really excited (I'd never seen a bear before). So that evening we took a nice long drive on the back roads (and the BACK,BACK roads) in search of some wildlife. Well, the only wildlife we encountered was in the backseat of the vehicle. And this was the best picture I got from the trip...

But... Thursday night we were sitting on the cabin porch playing Bannannagrams and the cabin below us was hollerin (see, just a week in PA and I'm picking up the lingo). Anyway, they were a hollerin' about a bear at the dumpster. So like the bunch of idiots we are, we grabbed the spotlight and went running down to see. Sure enough, there he was, 700 pounds and 8 feet tall! Yeah, I have no idea how big he was but he looked pretty big to me.

Very exciting moment for me. My very first bear encounter. I was feeling pretty good about it. Until... midnight, when I had to get up and walk down to the bathroom by myself in the dark. I never knew I could run that fast.
