Parker Dam

Lots and lots and lots of pictures to go through so it will take me a while to get them on here, but here are a few...
Isn't it beautiful there?

THE FIRST DAY
You can't check into your cabin until 3:00 so we jumped right out of the car and onto the beach. Our stuff was still packed away on the trailer so what we had on was what we wore into the water. I had the only child on the beach with fleece camo pants on. Yeah, he really fit in.

Grace LOVED the water! She jumped right in.

Face first.

Walk to the Creek

The clouds this summer have amazed me. Maybe we've just been more aware but just about every day someone comments on how beautiful the sky is. Have you noticed?

We took a walk down to the creek. We had great weather and everyone had a great time, including Grace, despite her yucky cold.

We finally got a chance to try out our boats.

Courtney spent most of the time pulling on it fast enough to splash everybody.

Boats

The kids were busy today making boats. So we brought them over to Mema's to try them out but all this rain has made the water really high. They stood at the very edge and threw their boats in but we'll have to go back when we can really play.

They named this boat HeeHa.

"Daddy, see my pretty flower?"

"Here, you have a bite."

Joe's 5th trip...

to the emergency room will be for a broken leg...

OK, I got the picture. Now get down.

Montazuma

Wet, rainy morning so we took a drive to Montazuma to see a little wildlife. We didn't see a whole lot other than birds and some neat plant life. The kids were pretty thrilled to be able to unbuckle! I think the highlight for the boys was to be roaming free in the backseat.
The veiw was awsome.

We saw teeny tiny ducks and quite a few herons.

And one goose...

Then we found a trail and went for a little hike.
Kathy, these pictures are for you! I know how much you LOVE my bug and flower pictures! Hey, be thankful I didn't see any fungus.

All right, here's some of the kids.
Jacob showing me how sticky the plants were.
